Our goal at Downtown Dental Centre is for you to experience optimal oral health, and we understand that sometimes financial barriers can keep you from going ahead with treatment that Dr. Dodds or Chandramohan have prescribed. So, new for 2016, we are offering to direct bill your insurance company for any major work that needs to be done, such as crowns, implants, root canals, or bridges. We are only offering this to patients with whom we have an established relationship, so first time patients to our office will have to pay at time of appointment. As usual, we will submit your insurance electronically for you. We need to feel confident that your insurance and your credit card are in good standing. How this works:
- You establish a relationship with us with a visit for an exam and/or hygiene appointment (or maybe you’ve been coming here for years so we know you already!).
- Dr. Chandramohan or Dr. Dodds creates a treatment plan that you understand and are happy with.
- We send a predetermination away to your insurance company to see what coverage they will provide. It can take 4-6 weeks for them to respond to you.
- Based on the information you receive from your insurer, you decide whether or not you will go ahead with treatment and let us know. Due to privacy regulations, we do not usually hear from your company – only you will.
- Prior to treatment we ask you to fill out a financial agreement leaving a valid credit card on file for any charges not covered by your insurer.
- On the day(s) of treatment, we directly bill your insurer and charge the remainder to your card.
