The Dental Team
Our entire team – from reception to hygiene, along with the assistants and dentists – is focused on educating our patients about their oral health. We take the time to explain what is presenting in the mouth and what options are available, if needed, to make things better. We walk people through the proposed treatment – what it actually means and looks like – and can use visuals and models to aid in understanding. We always encourage questions at our dental office and ensure quick response times when information is requested. We know that dental work is expensive and can also take considerable time out of people’s already busy schedules. That’s why we try our best to accommodate you the best we can so that your dental health is never left on the back burner. We also do our best to work with patient’s insurance companies and/or financial means, clearly explaining costs ahead of time and allowing you to make the best decision you can by being fully informed about your oral health needs.
Dental Office Anxiety
Dental anxiety and fear are common in almost any dental office. No one enjoys having sharp, pokey things in their mouth! By speaking calmly, patiently, and in layman’s terms people can understand, we find the majority of anxious patients end up doing just fine. Forming a relationship with our team builds trust and eases patient’s concerns. We can also discuss the use of Ativan to help with dental anxiety. It does not fully sedate a person, but gently eases anxiety while still allowing the patient to be present during the procedure.
